Things are picking up here in Arizona…the team played a inter-squad scrimmage on Monday and is preparing for the Alumni game on Friday night. You can follow what is happen with the team on Twitter. We Tweet out updates during games. If you don’t have Twitter you will find a Twitter feed on our web site asulacrosse.com (scroll down it’s on the right hand side of the page).

Alumni Game

The game will be played on the ASU Band field located behind the Women’s Softball stadium and north of the Women’s Soccer Stadium. The game will start at 7pm. During half time we will present the team awards from the 2016 season.

We will also draw for an ASU Lacrosse helmet at half time. If you would like a chance on the helmet tickets can be purchased online at www.asulacrosse.com on the alumni details page or before the game.

The team will play two scrimmages on 11/5. These games will also be on the Band field. The first game is schedule for 11am vs Arizona and the second one is scheduled for 2:30 vs GCU. Arizona and GCU will play each other at 1pm.

Web Site and Game Program Advertising

I mentioned in the last email the players fundraising responsibility (see below). Another way for them to get credit for fundraising is to sell advertisements that can be placed on our web site or in the game program. I attached the ad rate sheet for you to use if you know someone that would like to purchase an ad. Ads are not tax deductible but are a great way for customers/clients to see the support given to ASU Lacrosse. Unique visitors on our web site varies from 1700 in the middle of the summer when the team is not active to over 6900 each month during the season.

Each player is responsible for fundraising $1000. Their goal is to get all the funds in by the beginning of February before the season starts. As soon as they get to this amount they are presented with a new custom Arizona State Warrior Diamond Shaft. Getting it done by this time gives us a better idea of how much money we have for travel.

If you know someone that would like to donate to the team let them know that donations are 100% tax deductible because the team is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)3.

The easiest way to donate is by using the donate button on our web site www.asulacrosse.com or by mailing a check to ASU Men’s Lacrosse, 2420 W. Onza Ave. Mesa AZ 85202. Please include the players name on all donations so they can be applied to the correct player.

Amazon Smiles

The team can earn money every time you shop. If you shop on Amazon or know someone that does please have them use this link before they shop. The team gets up to .05% of each purchase at no cost to the buyer.
